Parallel sections from term pregnant cervix processed for p75 (a) PGP 9.5 (b) and S-100 (c). A small corpuscle with marked capsular p75 immunoreactivity is seen in (a, arrows at capsule). Corresponding capsular regions in the PGP 9.5 (b) and S-100 (c) stained sections are also marked with arrows. Fine PGP 9.5 immunoreactive nerve fibers are observed within the corpuscle (b, arrowhead). S-100 immunoreaction is also observed in the interior of the corpuscle (c, arrowhead).
